Description

The ancient city of Bet She’an, known during classical periods as Nysa-Scythopolis, owes its great importance throughout most of its long and eventful history to its strategic geographical location and its excellent environmental conditions. Situated at the junction of the Jezreel and Jordan Valleys, it connects the Jordan Valley and Transjordan with the major ports of the Mediterranean coast.
