Description

The pottery catalogue comprises drawings of representative vessels from the excavations at the Hospitaller Compound (License Nos. G-102/1992, G-52/1993, G-34/1994, G-30/1995, G-14/1996, G-12/1997, G-14/1998; G10/1999);¹ the Knights’ Hotel (Permit No. A-2244/1995); and the Messika Plot (Permit No. A-2218/1995). The tables accompanying the plates include the provenance of the vessels, the Israel Antiquities Authority Registration number (if applicable) and any scientific analyses performed on the vessels (petrographic analyses are indicated by a ‘P’ prefix; chemical analyses, by other alphabetic prefixes; see ‘Akko I, Part 1, Chapters 5 and 6, respectively) and a detailed description of each vessel or sherd.
